This Cookie Policy explains how Mažoji bendrija FARO applications uses cookies and similar technologies on faroapplications.com and within our products.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow the site to recognize your device, remember preferences, and provide basic functionality.
2. What we use on this website
This marketing website (faroapplications.com) currently uses only essential storage. We do not set any third-party cookies and do not load third-party analytics, advertising pixels, fingerprinting scripts, or social trackers.
- Cookie banner acknowledgment — a single
localStorageentry (faro-cookie-ack-v1) remembers that you've dismissed the cookie notice so we don't show it on every visit. Stored on your device only; nothing is sent to our servers.
Because we use only essential storage, no consent is required under the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC, as implemented in Lithuanian law). The banner exists to be transparent, not to gate access.
3. Cookies used inside our products
3.1 Hunter Reborn (mobile app)
Hunter Reborn is a native mobile app and does not use HTTP cookies. It uses encrypted device storage (Keychain on iOS, EncryptedSharedPreferences on Android) to keep your session token, and AsyncStorage for app preferences. None of this is shared with third parties.
3.2 Storyforge (web)
When the Storyforge web app launches, it will use the following client-side storage:
- Authentication token — stored in
localStorageby the Supabase client. Required to keep you signed in. - UI preferences — selected model, sidebar state, and similar local UI choices, stored in
localStorage. - Anti-abuse session cookie — if and when added, a first-party session cookie used by the backend API to bind a request to a signed-in browser. Strictly necessary, no tracking across sites.
All of the above are strictly necessary for the service to function.
4. Changes when we add analytics
If we later introduce optional analytics (for example, privacy-friendly tools such as Plausible or PostHog), we will:
- Update this policy at least 14 days before they go live.
- Add a clear opt-in to the cookie banner.
- Process telemetry on EU infrastructure where possible.
5. Managing cookies
You can clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings. On most browsers this is available under Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data. Clearing cookies may sign you out of our products and reset preferences.
